The location of the hotel was central, near to the Asador restaurant, the square in front of the parador and a grand ducal palace of the 17th century that is the pinnacle of a very charming, old hilltop town set amidst vineyards and farms below. The staff was attentive, I'm grateful for their help.

We had a lovely big bedroom with cot provided for the baby and overlooked the square and watched the sun go down at night. Lounge and dining rooms were lovely and the food was very nice. Staff very friendly. We would consider staying there again definitely. It was a good distance to the ferry port next morning for us.

Magnificent building, dominating the town, converted from a Ducal Palace to a spectacular (palatial) hotel. The rooms are huge, magesterial and the facilities first class. Go there! The gourmet "taster" menu is slightly odd and you may prefer the a la carte menu for a satisfactory meal if you are really hungry. There is a smokers bar with old prints and armchairs like things used to be. Wonderful.
We should have stayed longer

Comfortable room, excellent facilities, including a spacious lounge area and free convenient parking right in front of the hotel, added to our enjoyable stay in this charming hotel.
Nothing that I didn't like.

The location and views of and from the parador are wonderful. The inner courtyard was a real pleasure to sit in and relax.
Very disappointed that the first room we were given was not cleaned properly before we were allocated it, but they quickly moved us to another room and acknowledged it was a problem that they are addressing so shouldn't happen again but it did affect our overall rating of the hotel

The Parador is an old Palace, very historical and extremely well preserved, set in the old square at the top of the hill, very easy to get to. Room are very spacious. There is an underground car park which will accommodate tall cars, which is a bonus.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel as an overnight stopover on the way to Santander to catch a ferry. It is a beautiful, well kept historical building. The floodlighting in the evening sets it off to its best. It is in a quiet location close to restaurants in a large squre that provides good car parking.. The reception staff were very pleasant and the layout of the hotrel was explained in good English
Both my wife and myself found the beds uncomfortable - they were too hard

Lovely setting in an old small town. It is well situated for day trips to various sights and the wine regions of Arlanza and Ribera del Duero. the location has choices for restaurants and cafes in the town--enough for 3 or 4 days. The breakfast is quality and has plenty of choice including gluten-free offerings. Spain is meat-centric so one must bear in mind that they do eat differently. However, it is possible to have a breakfast that includes breads, cereal, fruit, yogurts, eggs, etc. There are even sheeps milk and goats milk yogurts--pretty nice. Rooms are lovely and sparkling clean. Absolutely no complaints at all.

Apart from the general exellence of the building and its facilities the overall impression left with us was the service given by the staff, especially at reception! We had not up to this time travelled through Spain and were concerned as to where to stay but the consideration given to us will stay with us. We will stay again and recommend the Parador De Lerma to anyone passing that way!

A beautiful parador, and close enough to Madrid to the the first stop on a trip north. The lobby bar is especially nice, and the breakfast one of the largest in variety of any parador. The town is small but charming. We didn't try the asadors, but at least one is red guide rated. The hotel staff, by the way, is very friendly and do their best in limited English.
The food in the restaurant is, like the food in many paradors, just so-so, and quite expensive.
